Keys to the Kingdom
The Women's Ministry Fund for Asia Pacific Missions
There are over 25 women in Asia Pacific serving as tentmaker missionaries. They are either English teachers or domestic workers who are spreading the gospel behind an iron curtain. Their freedom and lives are at risk every time they talk about Jesus. They are young and old. The youngest woman I remember meeting is 23. She teaches preschoolers. Another young mother teacher teaches school in China during the week and takes a boat to Hong Kong each weekend to minister to Christians there. These ladies usually serve in a city alone and only have rare contact with other believers. They are far away from their families. The fund that is being opened for the Asia Pacific Women's Ministry would help them in case of emergencies like imprisonment or sickness. The American missionaries in that region would like to provide these ladies with a conference every few years. The fund that has been opened might help out with that as well. Darlene Carey and Doyle Moor would be the overseers of these funds.
